US-based acclaimed award-winning chef Anita Jaisinghani has been delighting foodies in Houston, Texas, with her sumptuous food at her fine-dining Indian restaurant Indika and cafe & bakery Pondicheri. Now, she has forayed into New York with a new outlet of Pondicheri in the Big Apple where she’s looking at creating a whole new Indian culinary experience for patrons. The ambience of the place will be casual & laid-back during the day and a bit more formal for a fine-dining experience at night.
Anita looks at introducing the concept of Indian breakfasts in NYC and Pondicheri will offer breakfast platters of roti wraps with masala eggs, stuffed parathas, appams and such.
Be it take-away, lunch or dinner, Anita wants people to relax and feel at home at the eatery. Her signature bakery & pastry counter, Bake Lab, will offer experimental confections such as the Pondi bars, pistachio scones & even quinoa muffins for vegans.
